Activities departing from the hotel

Our village of Aullène nestles at an altitude of 850m, in the heart of the majestic Alta Rocca region of southern Corsica. A stay in Aullène is a chance to experience authentic island life, far from the hustle and bustle of tourism.

Guides at your disposal

The Hôtel de la Poste, with its long family history, has designed three precise and unique tourist guides to Corsica for its customers:

  • A walking guide around Aullène and the micro region of the Alta Rocca ("Land of the Lords"): a rocky region particularly rich in preserved and endemic biodiversity.
  • A guide to cycle tourism in southern Corsica.
  • A guide to car and motorbike tours in Southern Corsica.

Natural swimming pool in Chiuvone

Leaving from Aullène

  • 10 km away, you can swim in the Chiuvone river (1000 m) with its waterfalls and natural pools carved into the granite, which have been used for generations for swimming and perfect family moments or simply for rediscovering intimacy.
  • Canyoning and river fishing on a number of routes offer great sporting thrills.
  • Not far away (10 minutes by car and a 30-minute walk), discover the Rocher Oscillant. It's always amazing to be able to move a granite mass weighing several tonnes!

You can also visit the chapel of Saint-Antioche and the village church, famous for its 17th-century carved pulpit supported by strange dragons.

Finally, we can advise you on the paths of the "Mare è Mare Sud", a hiking trail that crosses southern Corsica from west to east, or on that of the GR20From north to south, it's one of Europe's most popular destinations.
